The India Pavilion—Bharat—at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka drew an impressive crowd of more than 20,000 visitors on Saturday, offering a vibrant showcase of India’s cultural richness, scientific achievements, traditional arts, and holistic wellness practices.

According to the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), over 23,000 people visited the pavilion in a single day, experiencing the diversity and depth of India through interactive displays and performances. Visitors explored a wide array of attractions, from a calming evening yoga session promoting India’s holistic wellness traditions to a dedicated Chandrayaan Zone spotlighting India’s strides in space exploration, particularly its groundbreaking lunar missions.

A special One District One Product section featured exquisite handicrafts, including Walnut Wood Carving from Jammu & Kashmir and Silver Filigree (Tarakashi Art) from Cuttack, Odisha—showcasing India’s regional craftsmanship.

Cultural performances added a dynamic touch to the pavilion, with a captivating Kathak dance by Nalini Toshniwal and members of Ruchika Dance Academy, along with vibrant Bollywood performances that left the audience spellbound.

Among the notable visitors was Dr. HC Nik Gugger, a member of the Swiss National Council and President of the Swiss-India Parliamentarian Group, who toured the pavilion with his family.
